SEC EDGAR (the only data source)
Everything on this site comes from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's free EDGAR APIs at data.sec.gov:
- Company profile (name, CIK, exchange, industry SIC code, state of incorporation, fiscal year end, business address): the EDGAR submissions API.
- Shares outstanding: the XBRL company facts API, field
dei:EntityCommonStockSharesOutstanding, as reported on the cover of the company's latest 10-Q or 10-K, with the date it's "as of". - Recent filings: the submissions API, linked to the documents on SEC.gov.
Data as of: SEC EDGAR data retrieved November 3, 2026, 3:39 PM MT. Shares outstanding are as of the cover-page date shown for each company. We follow the SEC's fair-access rules: a declared User-Agent with a contact address and well under 10 requests a second.
No prices or market caps
We don't show share prices or market caps. For a price, follow the "Free quote" link on each company page (Yahoo Finance, a third party we aren't affiliated with), or type a price you looked up into the calculator.
Which companies
Real U.S.-listed companies whose latest SEC cover page reports a single total for shares outstanding. Companies that report several share classes separately, or whose latest figure is out of date, are left out so numbers aren't misleading.
Charts
We don't embed third-party chart or ticker widgets.
